I’m 30, adventurous and love a new challenge.
I’m really excited about this opportunity. I have only done one contest in the past but it was a really good experience! I was in the finals of Miss Jetset competition to raise money for children living with cancer. I’m very passionate about helping others and ensuring they feel the support that need and deserve through anything they may face in their life. Baking a positive support system is very important and I always like to be that person to cheer on my friends and family as well as new people I meet daily.

Hi, my name is Mahalia Coniah and I’m born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta but my background is from Sierra Leone. I am a proud mixed raced woman with history in competitive swimming, basketball, and now most recently amateur Muay Thai and Boxing. I am 31 years of age and have a passion for many things including snowboarding, camping and experiencing new adventures that I may not have done before. Professionally, I work for children and adults with special needs out of Calgary connecting families with children of disabilities to quality services via telehealth and in home visits.
This experience of being a ring model would be something exciting as I have a passion for MMA as my partner also competes in this sport and is the reason why I fell in love with the art, training, dedication and excitement of stepping into the ring.

I am a Registered Nurse, mom, Martial Artist, skier and ever evolving soul. I live in the mountainous corner of South West Alberta, and found my way back to Martial Arts two years ago, after having wanted to be a ninja turtle when I was little, and getting my black belt in Taekwondo at the age of 13. Shortly after receiving my black belt I switched to girls hockey, and loved it, and the family and girls can do anything, kick-butt mentality we had. I then became a ski hill ski bum for many years, which led to me living and loving the mountain life.
I found an amazing coach and community here in my small town, and from day one, I knew these were my people and this was where I would grow on my journey.
I love how Martial Arts challenges me, gives me a bit of growth every day,, shows me my weaknesses, and just how much potential lays inside me. I train with an awesome group of women (and some guys as well) and I love the family it has given me, watching each other grow and helping each other out. And having fun while doing so - laughing and fighting. I am learning kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling, karate, Muay Thai, along with weapons and so much more. I think I have another year or so before I would be ready for an amateur fight, but I love the community that surrounds MMA, and I want to be more involved, have more opportunities to support and cheer on my team mates and other athletes. In addition to my own fight, one day I would love to be a corner person for one of my friends/teammates, providing psychological and technical support for them in their big moment.

I was previously a varsity wrestler for the University of Alberta, and later pursued the sport of powerlifting. I have won a national title in both sports, and am happy to share a list of accolades on request. I am an outgoing personality who is passionate about sports and fitness,. As for education, I completed my Kinesiology degree at the University of Alberta, and am now finishing up my Dietetics degree at the U of A as well.
