What makes PAWFC’s Ring Card Model approach different is that we are an athlete’s-owned company. Whether you’re an athlete on the fitness competition stage or a soccer player, you can be the next PAWFC Model as an athlete supporting and representing other women athletes. This allows you to broaden your network outside of your sport, which can prove to be beneficial in your athletic career.
My name is Anoela Hennig! I am from Edmonton, AB Canada! I am a law student studying to be a Criminal Attorney. If I am not somewhere studying and smothered in books, you can find me at the gym training for a CPA Wellness bodybuilding competition.
I grew up as a competitive dancer for 15 years, then falling in love with bodybuilding, pushing my body and mind, seeing what I am capable of on all levels. I also enjoy spending time with my puppy Hazel, and making memories with my family and friends.
I value women sticking together, in the gym as well as life, it can all be very intimidating, but no better motivation than uplifting and cheering on each other. My vision aligns with the aspirations and the values of Pallas Athena. The world of bodybuilding and MMA has the face of males but anything men can do, women can as well. The future of women is big, to have the amazing opportunity to be able to be a part of PAWFC. Not to forget the first all women MMA corporation is a true honour. I cannot wait to see all the inspiring, motivated and uplifting females within these amazing events. I am so excited to be on the team, see you in the ring!
Hi, my name is Mahalia! I’m 31 years old from Edmonton, AB, Canada and proudly mixed-raced. My goals and aspirations always remain to wake up each day with a positive mindset to create new memories and adventures with my partner, family and close friends. One quirky fact about me is that I can eat an entire jar of pickles in one sitting.
Outside of work, I train and compete in Muay-Thai and Boxing and have recently pushed myself out of my comfort zone to begin learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
My partner and I love the outdoors and spend our winters in the mountains snowboarding and the summer months back in the mountains camping and exploring new hikes.
My passions and values are advocating and supporting people with disabilities as it’s important for everyone to be included and for everyone’s unique abilities to be celebrated because we can all learn from one another. I am thankful that I was able to get involved with Pallas Athena (PAWFC) through their Ring Card Model contest at the end of 2021 as it was something that forced me out of my comfort zone. Growing up, I never felt confident in myself because of the color of my skin, the texture of my hair and that I didn’t fit the norm of how women were presented in magazines, tv and more. It wasn’t until my late 20’s where I truly found myself and began loving who I was and being unapologetically me.
Pallas Athena represents and supports women in martial arts bringing them to the forefront in a primarily male-dominted industry to ensure they are fairly compensated inside and out of the ring and to celebrate the strength of women that continues to inspire the younger generation and the continued future of female representation in mixed martial arts. It is true honour to be a part of Pallas Athena because they are making dreams a reality for women to be able to eliminate the need to work and focus on advancing their skills to put on a show for the world.
My name is Kathleen ( “Katie”) Murphy and I am 35 years old from Edmonton, AB, Canada. I currently work in health care and I am a bartender at a local music venue.
Some of my interests outside of work are spending time with my boyfriend and our two adorable dogs; Jax and Rebel. I also love spending time with family and friends, bodybuilding/fitness and shopping/thrifting. My goals and aspirations are to continue to show up as the best version of myself, mentally, physically and spiritually.
I am set to compete in my first Bikini Wellness show in June and beyond excited about that! I became involved with Pallas Athena when I was selected as of one of three ring models for their upcoming event in January 2022. I feel very blessed to be involved with the first all women professional MMA corporation in Western Canada which perfectly aligns with my core values and beliefs; empowering, supporting, building confidence/ self esteem amongst other women through sport.
A quirky fact about me is that I used to play roller derby and was the captain of my team. What can I say, I love contact sports and calculated aggression! I am very much looking forward to the next PAWFC event and can’t wait to see you there!
My main goal in life is to create a life I do not need a holiday from which I have began to do. I quit my job & received my personal training certificate. I love to help people & I love fitness so I figured it’s a perfect profession for me! Aspirations – travel the world! I want to see so many different things.
One quirky fact about me is that I am deaf in one ear so I’m extremely loud (and I don’t realize it)
I grew up competitively barrel racing mg whole life. I love horses and the adrenaline that comes along with the speed and competition. I live in wine country so absolutely love wine tasting!
My friend who is the owner of strapt let me know there was a card girl contest and said it might be something I’d be interested in. After doing a little research, the values of Pallas Athena lined up with mine (women empowerment) and I was so excited to be welcomed onto the team. I love everything it stands for and emulates. Women confidence & power.
